Our Story
Our story began with a moment that changed everything. We we were pregnant with our 3rd son at the time (we now have 5 kids). At the 20 week ultra sound, we learned that our son's heart was not symmetrical and later after meeting with cardiologists and specialists, that he would be born with a rare heart condition called hypoplastic right heart syndrome. We have an amazing cardiologist who always spoke life and encouragment to us. However, at the specialists, we were presented with an option no parent ever expects—the option to end the pregnancy.
We never considered this, and we chose hope; we chose life and we trust God with the life of our baby; the author of all of our stories. We chose to trust that even in the unknown, there was purpose.
It is from this moment it was deeply important to us to share the Hope of Christ with parents facing hardships with medical and emotional challenges. God was good to us by putting people in our path to give us hope and faith when we needed it and we want to do that for others.
From that moment forward, our journey became one of faith, resilience, and courage. Through surgeries, uncertainty, and long days, we discovered something powerful: hard stories can still be beautiful, and fragile beginnings can grow into incredible strength.
Our first book One Brave Heart, A Single Ventricle Jouney, was born out of that decision—to give families encouragement, to help children understand their unique hearts, and to remind others that every life has value, no matter the diagnosis.
Our mission is simple: to offer hope, share truth, and walk alongside families so they never feel alone.
